2023 Qihang College Commencement and Class Opening Ceremony

At 14:30 on December 9, 2023, the 2023 Qihang College Commencement and Class Opening Ceremony of Ouhai Glasses Co., Ltd. was held on the ladder room. The honored guests who participated in this ceremony are General Manager and President of Qihang College Mr. Wang Fenghua, Operation Director Mr. Yao Yonghe, Deputy Production President Mr. Qi Fei, Deputy Logistics President Mr. Chen Binhui, Deputy Operation President of Ya Shi Subsidiary Mr. Li Lei, Acting Chief Engineer Mr. Zhang Rui, as well as Deputy Executive President of Qihang College, lecturers, class teachers, 2022 graduates and 2023 new students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, all members sang the song of Ouhai together. After this, Mr. Wang Fenghua made a speech, which mentioned three aspects. The first is about learning. The students only studied in Qihang College for one to two years, but learning a lifelong career. Many students here couldn’t get good education due to various reasons such as family problems or economic conditions. However, the Ouhai Glasses provided a platform for students to learn by establishing the training class of Qihang College. More importantly, through learning, students can make acquaintance with more people and develop good learning habits. As the old saying goes, it’s never too late to learn, learning accompanies us throughout our lives. The second is about thinking. The Confucius once said, study without thinking leads into a trap, thinking without study leads into a jeopardy. The company has lots of systems, standards, processes and regulations that we have to understand, familiarize and comply with. When confronted with those regulations and requirements, we need to foster a habit of asking why, learn to trace the roots and explore why the action is done. Only learning without thinking is called blind obedience. Learn to judge what is right and what is axiomatic is also the precipitation of knowledge. Only with a fruitful knowledge can you make right judgments. Whether doing business, quality assurance, production, technology, or management of human resources, you have to ask yourself the reason and purpose for doing this. After thinking about it, you can go to learn once again, and to think after learning, and find your confusion again, which leads you to the roots of progression. Because you cannot solve the problems with your existing knowledge, then you should go to learn once again. Life is a development process of learning and thinking; your knowledge is incrementing and your experience is increasing as well. Therefore, we have to learn to think. The third is about doing. As an old saying goes, the “lesser hermit” lives in seclusion in the country, the “greater hermit” does so in the city. The workplace is a dojo, and work is practice. We learn and think, but more importantly we should use it, which is what Wang Yangming called “unity of knowledge and action”. True knowledge is that you make practical actions after you get the knowledge. Applying what you have learned on works is the purpose of learning. We should work when learning, and learn when working. And we should practice the process of learning, thinking and doing, honing our skills in every task to judge whether what we have learned is true knowledge and true learning. Only in this way can we make learning, thinking and doing a complete circulation.

At the ceremony, the president of Qihang College Mr. Wang Fenghua awarded certificates of honor to the outstanding class teachers, lecturers, class cadres and students of the 2022 class, and issued letters of appointment to the three class teachers of the Special Training Class, Intermediate Class and Youth Cadre Class of 2023. At the same time, Mr. Wang Fenghua, lecturer team and class teachers also held a book awarding ceremony for the book “Hongyi Anthology” written by Mr. Wang Fenghua.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Cheng Guanmeng, the class teacher representative, Yang Danna, the student representative of 2022 class and Xu Caixia, the student representative of the 2023 class, made speeches respectively.

In the end, after the host made concluding remarks, the 2023 Qihang College Commencement and Class Opening Ceremony ended successfully with all teachers and students shouting the school motto of "Improve yourself and influence others".
