Welcome Students from Class 5 of 39th Class of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business to Visit Our Company

At 14:20 pm on November 7, 2023, under the leadership of Professor Yan Aimin, 53 students from Class 5 of 39th of CKGSB crossed the mountains and the sea, leaving their busy work behind to gather in Ouhai. The General Manager of Ouhai Glasses co.,ltd. and alumnus of CKGSB, Mr. Wang Fenghua, together with Operation Director Mr. Yao Yonghe, Vice President of Logistics Mr. Chen Binhui, Vice President of Production Mr. Qi Fei and other executives accompany them along the way. This exchange activity not only deepened the alumni's understanding of the eyewear industry, but also enhanced the “classmate fellowship” between alumni.

At the beginning of the exchange activity, in the ladder conference room, the company introduced to the alumni by playing the video and the explanation of Mr. Wang Fenghua the company overview, the development history, the business philosophy, the product structure, the sales network, the enterprise positioning, the development plan, the enterprise culture, and the construction of the talent ladder, so that the alumni have a relatively comprehensive understanding of the Ouhai Glasses.

Afterwards, the company's middle and senior team led the guests to visit the gym, kindergarten, multi-function hall and other places. When visiting the gym, Mr. Wang Fenghua mentioned that Ouhai Glasses has been focusing on team building, often organizing various cultural and sports activities such as basketball games, cycling, long-distance running, fun games, and so on, so as to achieve the three purposes of “strengthening the staff’s physical fitness and achieving efficient work”, “improving the team’s cohesion”, “carrying forward the sports spirit of ‘Higher, Faster, Stronger’” through these activities. During the visit to the multi-functional hall, library and kindergarten, Mr. Wang Fenghua focused on the company's management concept of creating a “warm and cozy” family culture. Ouhai workers come from all over the world. In addition to require employees to behave according to the regulations and work according to the requirements, we also want to let them feel a warm “family” culture as if they were at home, and solve employees’ worries about clothing, food, housing and transportation, as well as the education and training of their children. Only in this way can we retain the talents and make sure the loyal and struggling employees can work at ease.

After visiting the living area, Mr. Wang Fenghua, the general manager, accompanied the guests to visit various places including enterprise research institute (including the industrial mold section, laboratory, equipment research and development center, etc.), the material control section, and raw material inspection area. Through the visit and explanation, guests were able to understand the knowledge of the mold manufacturing process, raw material inspection standards, and eyeglasses testing requirements. In the logistics control center, the general manager, Mr. Wang Fenghua emphasized on introducing the lighted Kanban and MES system to the guests. General Manager Mr. Wang Fenghua explained to the guests: the company has more than 2,000 products on line for production every day, dozens of sets of molds are being processed every day, and more than 20 new products are being planned and tried out every day. In order to ensure the accuracy of the logistics, information and data flow, the company integrates the structure, rule, regulation and process into the system, and initially realizes the intelligentization of the planning, execution, diagnosis, improvement, and validation. Accompanied by the company's senior management team, the alumni have visited the workshop of metal dedicated line 1 and acetate dedicated line 1, etc. Through the on-site observation, the guests had a more intuitive understanding of the eyeglasses manufacturing process.

After the visit, the alumni came to the conference room on the 8th floor and started a discussion, focusing on the questions of “Follow the industrial chain transfer to go out to set up factories, continue to participate in international manufacturing? OEM-ODM-OBM? Deep plumbing the industry chain, make high-end manufacturing, horizontally to the edge, vertically to the end?” General manager Wang Fenghua shared with the guests the current situation of eyeglasses industry, the trajectory of industry chain transfer, the future development direction and so on, and focused on Ouhai's development strategy of "horizontally to the edge, vertically to the end". In the exchange meeting, the alumni shared the feeling of visiting Ouhai and their management experience.
