On July 26th, 2023, Mr. Xue Feng, Chairman of Zhejiang Shengli Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., and his senior management team visited our company, focusing on the product exhibition hall, gym, enterprise research institute, production workshop, etc, with Mr. Wang Fenghua, General Manager, Mr. Yao Yonghe, Director of Operations, Mr. Chen Binhui, Vice President of Logistics, Mr. Qi Fei, Vice President of Production, and other middle and senior teams accompany and explained. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on team building, corporate culture, education and training, and intelligent manufacturing.
At 10: 18 a.m., Mr. Xue, Chairman of Zhejiang Shengli Machinery Technology Company and other senior executives of its subsidiaries, such as Gu Lifeng, Shi Fan and Wu Jiasen, came to the industrial park of the new factory. Mr. Wang Fenghua, led the middle and high-level team out to meet them and took a group photo as a souvenir. Coming to the conference room, Mr. Wang Fenghua extended a warm welcome to the senior team of Zhejiang Shengli Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.. Subsequently, Mr. Xue Feng introduced the visitors, and Mr. Wang Fenghua introduced the team members who participated in the reception, the theme of the communication and the contents of the visit.
At 10: 40, the company’s middle and high-level team led the guests to visit the office area, Ladder classroom, gym, canteen and other places. During the visit, Mr. Wang Fenghua said that Ouhai always pays attention to team building and often organizes basketball games, cycling, long-distance running, fun sports meetings and other cultural and sports activities, which can achieve the following three purposes: firstly, strengthen the staff’s constitution and achieve efficient work. Today, with the fierce competition in the industry, we can only strive for more cooperation opportunities, serve our customers well and ensure the sustained and healthy development of the enterprise by making no less effort than anyone else. High demands and high pressure are our normal work status, and a strong body is the basis for efficient work for everyone in Ouhai. Second, improve the team cohesion. The company encourages employees to go to the competition site and participate in sports activities to show their personal style. Since 2002, the company has been holding basketball matches every year. Up to now, the 28th “Ouhai Cup” basketball match has been successfully held. When holding each game, the organizers are required to make careful and elaborate preparation. The purpose of sports competition is to let us experience the sense of accomplishment and pleasure brought by teamwork in basketball, and to improve team spirit and cohesion. Thirdly, carry forward the sportsmanship of “higher, faster and stronger”. Company organizes managers’ team long-distance running activities, and each time a different mileage goal is set, with each goal being more challenging than the last one. Its purpose is to let management cadres bring the sportsmanship of “targeting, challenging themselves and never giving up” into practical work.
During the visit to the Ladder classroom, Mr. Wang Fenghua explained to the guests the original intention of the establishment of Qihang College, as well as its organizational structure, teaching staff and training outline and emphatically introduced the development history of the Federation of Trade Union (FTU) In early 2002, Mr. Wang Fenghua asked the office staff to post job advertisements on the report column of the factory, and selected 20 people to imitate and learn from the student union in college – the FTU was formed, so that workers could organize themselves and enrich themselves. Referring to the organizational structure of the Students’ Union, he designed the functions of the Workers’ Union, and set up radio stations, publication departments, literature and art departments, sports departments, discipline and health departments and other organizations to be responsible for broadcasting, drawing blackboard newspapers, organizing birthday parties, holding basketball games, and co-hosting Spring Festival Gala. The purpose of the FTU is “autonomy, self-reliance, self-governance, and self-strengthening”. The original intention of establishing the company’s FTU is to achieve employee self-management, so that union members can set an example and influence their colleagues, thereby driving a group of employees and improving their overall quality. Through investigation, the company regards these employees as the reserve force for talent echelon construction, and gives priority to promoting them as management cadres when the enterprise needs them. Since 2002, nearly one-third of the company’s cadres have had the service experience of the FTU, including three at the vice president level, and a large number of middle-level cadres and grassroots cadres. In the early stage of the development of Ouhai, the FTU played an indispensable role in the cultivation of talents, or in other words, it could be considered as the Huangpu Military Academy in the early stage of Ouhai Glasses. Today, the FTU still plays an active role in talent echelon and corporate culture construction.
When visiting gymnasiums, multi-function halls, libraries, kindergartens and other places, Mr. Wang Fenghua focused on the management concept of creating a “warm and homely” family culture. The employees of Ouhai come from all corners of the world, and they have traveled all the way to the company. We should let them feel that coming to Ouhai is not just about finding a job to support their families. We want employees to feel the warm “home” culture in this big family of Ouhai. To this end, the company has invested a lot of money in the infrastructure construction of living area, such as constructing accommodation buildings, preparing and establishing kindergartens, managing canteens well, etc., with the aim of enabling strugglers to work peacefully and have no worries about clothing, food, housing and transportation.
Later, the company’s management team led the guests to visit the company’s enterprise research institute (including mold department, laboratory, equipment research and development center, etc.), material control department, raw material inspection area, etc. By visiting and communicating, we let the guests know the knowledge of mold manufacturing technology, raw material inspection standards, and glasses testing requirements and so on. In the material control department, Mr. Wang Fenghua introduced to the guests the organizational structure, main functions, scheduling logic, lighting billboards and MES system of the logistics department. Mr. Wang Fenghua explained: Every day, the company has more than 2,000 products produced at the production line, dozens of sets of molds are being processed, and more than 20 new products are being planned and trial-produced. With such a huge amount of data flowing, it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of logistics, information flow and data flow if production planning and resource allocation are made solely by manpower. Only by integrating architecture, system, system and process into the system can arrangement, execution, diagnosis and improvement are realized.
At 14 o'clock in the afternoon, Mr. Wang Fenghua led the guests to visit the parts department, plastic injection workshop, metal dedicated line, acetate dedicated line and development department. Mr. Wang Fenghua, focused on sharing the original intention and experience of technological transformation and intelligent manufacturing. On the one hand, the company carries out technological transformation and intelligent manufacturing to reduce costs and increase efficiency, on the other hand, it is to improve the working environment of employees and create advantages for enterprises to retain people. The company requires that the dirty, chaotic and poor processes such as flash and sand throwing should be replaced by machine substitution, mold improvement and process transformation. Meanwhile, the company requires management cadres to have empathy and have to pay attention to the working environment of employees. If the children of management cadres don't want to work in a dirty, chaotic, poor or unsafe environment, then we must take practical actions to improve it, which is what the ancients said, “Treat others like you'd like to be treated”.
After visiting the factory, the senior team of Zhejiang Shengli Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. shared the feelings of this visit in turn.
