In recent years, similar situations have appeared in the process of a series of reforms carried out by the company: some projects have achieved results only under the supervision of the senior management for many times, some projects have been carried out for half without following up, and some projects are still on oral or paper. Generally speaking, our team lacks the spirit of fighting hard and gnawing bones when facing difficulties.
First, Learn to gnaw bones at work
Every time I mention spring hinge soldering and hot stamping project, I have a little hate for our team the feeling that iron is not steel. Since 2014, the company has included the spring hinge soldering and hot stamping in the project list, and the former heads of Engineering Department have also included it in the annual implementation plan, but no results have been achieved. Until this year, the two projects have been pushed successfully under the joint efforts of the production department and the Engineering Department. In retrospect, are these two projects really that difficult? Spring hinge soldering and hot stamping some small factories can be set up, why can't we do it? Is it that we have less resources than others? Or is there not enough support from the company? I don't think it is. I think our technical team has no spirit of gnawing bones. Some management cadres and technical personnel choose to escape when they encounter dangerous shoals and detour when they encounter barriers. They are used to being content with the status quo and not doing things with their mouths. Xiao Jingguang, the founding General of the people's Republic of China, has a wonderful exposition: "gnawing bones is the key to the battle, which plays a great role and affects the overall situation. If you don't chew bones, you can't eat meat. It's the same for our work. We have to eat meat and gnaw bones. When encountering difficulties, we should have the spirit of showing our sword when we meet difficulties, instead of flinching forward. In fact, many problems seem to be extremely difficult, but it is not difficult to do them diligently. In the process of project implementation, even if it is better to move or move, it will be closer to the goal. Of course, in addition to "determination" and "perseverance", we also need to keep the overall situation. Since 2013, the company has been insisting on being one or two customers in the German market. The customers in the German market have high quality requirements and strict requirements on detail processing. The purpose of the company is to keep our team sharp teeth and not let ourselves become sheep. Because sheep can only eat grass, no wolf sharp teeth, can not gnaw bone.
Second, Bone gnawing is the norm
Ouhai's development strategy has always been the differentiation competition, which includes product differentiation, marketing strategy differentiation and management differentiation. When other enterprises compete for the price of low-grade sunglasses, Ouhai chooses to do optical frame; when other enterprises grab orders from three types of customers of optical frame, Ouhai chooses to enter into category II customers; when others start to try to be class II customers, Ouhai tries to cooperate with customers of world-class brands. Ouhai has been trying to avoid competition with Wenzhou counterparts in the past ten years, to avoid homogeneous competition of products, and to avoid price war with others. The future development of Ouhai will also continue this main line. It is impossible to achieve differentiated competition smoothly, because in the process of strategy implementation, we may choose a road that others have not gone through. On this road, we will inevitably face many unknown fields that we need to explore, and there must be many fortresses that we need to conquer. Therefore, we should have sufficient psychological preparation, have the pioneering spirit to overcome difficulties, and take gnawing bones as the normal. Taking differentiated competition does not mean that we give up the middle and low-end market. Even if it is homogeneous competition, we still need the spirit of gnawing bones. Under the tense situation of Sino US relations, some enterprises choose to go to Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia and other countries to avoid tariffs and reduce labor costs. For our enterprises, the current strategy is still based on Wenzhou, so how to gain competitive advantages with these enterprises? In the aspect of homogenization competition, we should, through scientific management, make it more efficient, more cost-effective, faster and better quality, and provide customers with better cost-effective products and better services. Only in this way can we win the first opportunity in homogeneous competition.
It is inevitable that differentiated competition will encounter difficulties and resistance. If there is no spirit of real confrontation and responsibility, this road will be blocked by "dangerous shoals" and "barriers". If we want to conquer these rapids and streams, we need to carry forward the spirit of "gnawing bones". Only with the spirit of "gnawing bones" to face the difficulties and deepen the reform, can we usher in "another village with bright flowers" and remain invincible in the competition.
